Give Good Vintage

For more than a year now I’ve refused to step one foot inside the Manhattan Vintage Show. It’s a cruel, inconsiderate place with just one, sordid purpose: to rob you blind. There’s just too much good vintage! I’ve had to restrain myself all this time but this past weekend I caved. I set up a photo booth, rolled a rack around the fair, and shot a model in little vintage outfits (more about that on Thursday!). But first I did some shopping of my own….

Most of the vintage is no name stuff, except the gown by Pauline Trigere, the plaid green shirt with tie by Yves Saint Laurent, green button down by Givenchy (all at Marlene Wetherell‘s), red buckle shoes by Dior and dangly earrings (found at What Was is Vintage). Plaid dress at Metropolis Vintage (I own that now…). Velvet bag and beaded, floral belt at Amarcord. Black ‘Titan’ suede boots by Jimmy Choo.
