La Petite Casta

Meet Marie Ange Casta: Art Student, Model, Comedienne, Parisienne, Little Sister. She’s a minimalist comfort dresser, nothing too flashy, just casual. She loves to wear black and jeans and boots. She’s into vintage but more in the summer – “it gets too complicated in the winter”. It’s clear we are on entirely different wave lengths style-wise, yet she paid me the biggest compliment: “This shoot was very inspiring for me! I had so much fun dressing up in clothes I would normally not wear. It’s like dressing up for a role in a movie! It also made me realize I should try to think outside of the box. Today was the most fun I’ve had modeling so far.” That’s five years, my friends. Five loooong years of sitting through boring shoots, until that splendid day Joos knocked on the door…

We shot this story in studio on the last day of Paris Fashion Week. I practically begged Didier Ludot to lend me clothes. I ran to Kiliwatch to get some fun filler pieces. And basically took half my own wardrobe on set. And we pulled it off, between Louis Vuitton and Miu Miu. Eight looks in less than three hours. I missed my Eurostar that night but it was well, well worth it…
