There’s a lot going on in this post. For one I called it a soccer ball, much to the compassionate ridicule of my photographer Aram, who is shown here, sporting his most intelligent looking face. It’s also dark, and getting darker. And we are on one of New York’s most loathed bridges, at least that’s what any Williamsburg inhabitant will tell you trying to cross it in the morning. It takes about 45 minutes, on a good day. (I ride my bike across in less than fifteen minutes, suckers!) Which leaves me with the most exciting bit of the story: the dress, the skirt and the shoes. I’ve been intrigued with mandarin dresses of late. I always hated those collars but just because no one’s doing them, I thought, hey, let’s be original. Then Proenza Schouler launched Fall/Winter 2012 and I found a friend. I’ve since put these dresses on all my Fall wish lists, hoping one will miraculously become a BFF.
